Implemented Filtering of the Boxes list when saving PDF

When attempting to save a PDF into another Box for annotations, you will now, by default, only see Boxes where you can save the PDF. Nevertheless, you still have the option to remove the filter from the top-right corner and view all your Boxes.

Introduced Default Annotation Box

Now, you have the option to choose a default annotation Box. This simplifies your annotation saving process by automatically navigating into the root folder of the selected default annotation Box during the save-as flow.

Retiring iOS 15 compatibility

Implemented Voting

Now, you can conveniently vote for the polls you are invited to directly from the idgard iOS app. To access this feature, simply tap on the Polls option in the Dataroom action menu. This will navigate you to the Active Polls screen, where you will find all the active polls available for you to vote. In addition, tapping the poll link on your iOS device will directly open respective poll inside idgard app, so that you can conveniently vote without additional navigation.

Implemented Guest Creation feature

You can now create any type of guest and invite them directly to the Box of your choice. Distinguishing between temporary and regular guests is made easy by simply setting an expiration date. Invited guests will automatically be granted default permissions for the Box.

Streamlined access to Members action

We've added members action inside the Box action menu. Now you can view and edit Box members with one fewer step.

Added option to create folders when saving PDF in a different Box during annotation flow

This feature enables you to create folders when saving PDF files in a different Box during the annotation flow, or when sharing files from other apps to idgard.

Improved performance for making large Boxes available offline

We've improved the process for making items available offline. Now, making larbe Boxes available offline takes significantly less time.

Added share link feature

You can now share links to files, folders, and notes from idgard with other people via 3rd party apps. This feature also allows you to copy such links.

Keep in mind, that such links can only be accessed directly by Box members with access to the corresponding Box. For users or guests who are not members of that Box, the link will lead to the idgard login page.

Added option to search through Boxes when saving PDF in a different Box during annotation flow

You can now search Box names when saving a PDF to a different Box during the annotation flow. This will help you to easily identify and choose the Box for saving your PDF file for annotations. Furthermore, this change enables you to search for a Box when you are sharing files from other apps to idgard.

Fixed issue with downloading files caused by low storage message

This version fixes an issue that was introduced with version 7.5.0. Under specific circumstances, the low storage message caused a file download issue, which we've now resolved.

Added Redact feature

As part of the annotations feature, you can now also apply Redactions on text and images. Redacted information will be permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved. Redactions allow you to, for example, remove sensitive pieces of information, such as PII, from a document so that the rest of the content can easily and safely be shared for collaboration.

Redaction is part of the Annotations feature, which is available to all users on an Enterprise Price Plan.

Added warning message in case of low device storage

The app now informs you in case the storage capacity of your iOS device reaches a limit where it could cause the iOS system to become unstable. The warning message will point you to the iOS device storage settings where you can free up capacity and avoid a potential impact on the stability of your idgard app.

Updated PDF annotations look & feel

The Annotations feature comes with refined icons and a new look for toolbars and dialogues.

Annotations are available to all users on an Enterprise Price Plan.

Fixed an issue with opening large files

Opening files is now independent from available RAM memory, and large files can be opened without issues.

Resolved an issue with displaying meeting pack file names in PDF headers

You can now see the meeting pack PDF file name in the Header of the PDF viewer.

Improved wording of warning message

To protect data in idgard, a secure network is required when using the app online. The wording of the warning message that idgard displays when detecting that the mobile device is connected via an unsecure Wi-Fi is now more precise.

Reduced steps for starting PDF Annotations

Click on the Annotations icon and start adding comments and markups on your PDFs with just one step.

Implemented performance improvements for navigating inside large Boxes

Navigating through complex folder structures in large Boxes is now faster and smoother.

We've added dialogues for opening files that are being processed by the antivirus scan, or were caught as infected.

Please be informed that we're retiring support for iOS 14 by end of year 2022.

Updated notification handling

We are changing the way notifications are handled in some of our products. idgard iOS 7.3.0 ensures compatibility with notifications in the corresponding upcoming idgard Web version.

Improved loading behavior for Boxes

We've made improvements to the loading process for Boxes with high number of unread items. These improvements lead to faster loading times.

Corrected the file name display in Annotations flow

PDF file names are now displayed in the header of the viewer.

Resolved an issue with removing the unlocked state after annotating a PDF

In a few specific cases, the file lock was not always removed after overwriting a PDF with annotations. This is now resolved.

Added Antivirus scan information

An icon now indicates the antivirus scan information for each of your files.

Added message for insufficient storage capacity

In case your mobile device is out of storage capacity and cannot complete synchronization, you'll now receive a message informing you of the capacity you need to free up to complete the sync.

Fixed a color-issue with some buttons

In a few cases, the color of a button was not inverted when used on a colored background and the button, therefore, appeared invisible. This is now resolved.

Extended second factor authentication

Depending on the second factor authentication method that is configured for your account (if any), the user interface will guide you through the corresponding process.

Starting with idgard web 1.7 and this app version, you'll also be able to use the Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) as a second factor authentication method. TOTP codes are generated by your authenticator app.

Enhanced Annotation workflow

If you were automatically logged out of idgard after a period of inactivity while annotating a PDF, keep the idgard app open and log in again. You can then continue your annotation session.

Enhanced PDF in-app viewer

You can now view and search PDFs directly within the protected environment of your idgard app. Configure your Viewer settings to your preferences, and use the table of contents outline (if available for your file) or thumbnails to navigate your PDF documents.

Changed the logo

At uniscon GmbH we’ve updated our corporate branding and the app now has a new logo.

Removed certificate verification option and pinning

The app won't be concerned with any certificate expiration, or certificate updates again going forward.

Updated TLS configuration

Communication of the app with idgard® is now restricted to TLS (Transport Layer Security) version 1.2 and 1.3.

Moved the process for making data available offline to the background

You can now continue with your work while your idgard® app seamlessly makes your data available offline - even when your mobile device is locked, or while you are using other apps.

Improved process for removing Boxes from offline availability

If you select Remove from offline, for example, for a large Box, this no longer blocks the app and you can seamlessly continue working. The process for removing offline availability is now running in the background.

Resolved an issue with uploading large numbers of files

In some cases when uploading large numbers of files, that process was interrupted. This is now resolved.

Moved the Sync button to the app toolbar

The Sync button is now quickly accessible from the app toolbar so that you can manually trigger synchronization at any time with just one tap. A notification bar at the top of your screen shows the synchronization status while the process is ongoing.

Made Box options more intuitive

We've reorganized Box options under the 3-dots icon for Box-related actions and under a new Plus icon for actions that let you add items to a Box.

Under the 3-dots icon, Select all now let's you quickly carry out an action on multiple files in one go.

In addition, we've added icons next to the text labels for each action. This way each action is easily recognizable.

Resolved a performance issue with loading large Boxes and Data Rooms

Opening Boxes and Data Rooms with a high number of files or large storage volumes is now much faster.

We've resolved some issues with making Box content available offline:

Files with file names that contain German umlauts (ä, ü, ö) are no longer omitted from the download process.

The Cancel download button for folders now works as expected.

Improved the SMS pass code authentication screen

We've updated the SMS pass code authentication screen with a new button and text.

Added renaming option for message files

Message files in your Boxes can now be renamed by long tapping on the message and selecting Rename.

Added version number to app login page

We're now displaying the app version number on the login page.

Harmonized the icons for MOV and MP4 files

MOV files now use the same icon as MP4 files.

Fixed a display issue with the Share button for voice messages

We've resolved a bug that caused the Share button to not display when playing a voice message. We brought the button back so you can share voice messages again also from that part of the interface.

Included the company name for each member in the Members overview

The name of the company that granted the license to an idgard® member is now displayed next to the member's name in the Members / Guests / Permissions overview. This helps identify the correct person or user account, for example, in case a member holds licenses from more than one company.

Implemented remote wipe option for offline data in idgard® iOS App

We've added an extra protection for data stored in the idgard® app, for example, on a mobile device that has been lost, stolen, or is no longer used. Admins can now configure this remote wipe option in the idgard® web app Enterprise settings, which will remove all data from the iOS app if users have not logged in for a set period of time.

Provided pop-up notification for app updates

A pop-up now informs about the availability of a new app version in the App Store. The notification will be displayed if automatic updates are not activated on your device.

Fixed issues with app performance during synchronization

We've fixed issues in the sync process so that the app now runs more smoothly, especially when synchronizing large amounts of files.

Fixed an issue with load times for Boxes

Under specific circumstances, opening Boxes took too long. This issue is now resolved.

Fixed an issue where files opened multiple times

We've resolved an issue where files that were not downloaded and available locally in the app were displayed multiple times upon opening.

Added the capability to open shared idgard® links in the iOS app

When you click on a shared idgard® link on your iOS mobile device you can now open the link directly with your app.

You can now manage Box members directly in your mobile iOS app.

Updated the iOS app to support new idgard® certificate

If automatic updates are not configured for your idgard® iOS app, please update the app manually. Versions using the previous certificate will stop functioning after the expiration date on July 22nd, 2021.
